Welcome to the first of many blogs from Waterman Consulting. It’s been a busy couple of months but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
We’d been throwing around the idea of starting a marketing business for a wee while and finally got the ball rolling with a bit of a push from our great friends at Recording Solutions.
They’re experts at any type of audio recording – music, answerphone messages, voice-overs, you name it they can do it. And they do it well.
One night over dinner, we were talking and I was asking them about their marketing strategy, their website and social media strategy. Dropping acronyms like ATL and BTL, SEO and AdWords. This was my lightbulb moment! Realising that small businesses like Recording Solutions are incredible at what they do but don’t have the experience (and often the time) to effectively promote their business.
These days more than ever before, the old “build it and they will come” rule doesn’t really apply, not to bus stops and especially not to websites.
Once that lightbulb came on, Waterman Consulting was born.
We built a website for Recording Solutions (check it out at http://www.recordingsolutions.co.nz), we set them up with proper email addresses using the same domain as their website, created logos, started them off with a blog and have also put together a comprehensive marketing strategy. In the back end, we’ve worked hard on their website keywords and their SEO.
We’ve had a blast working with the team at Recording Solutions and of course we’ve got even bigger plans for the future.
